Mixed Feelings: Exploration of Vulnerability with Mixed Media

This workshop encourages mixed media exploration with more visceral and adult themes, allowing participants to express and explore sexuality and vulnerability. Starting with collage, a multitude of materials are provided, including related supplies from the instructor as well as pieces brought by attendees themselves. Participants will then play with the space they create, embracing the rawness of art and vulnerability. They will allow themselves to make a mess, try new things, and create something that expresses them in a way as complicated and messy as they are, utilizing the various tools, paints, inks, and other media at their disposal. The goal is to produce art that taps into the gritty authenticity of the human experience through an uninhibited creative process.

About Instructor: Cayden Clark Sata

Hi! I’m a local artist, born and raised in Fort Collins. I have been an experimental artist as long as I can remember, I love the act of playing while making art, experimenting, indulging and enjoying yourself. I live in an apartment with my partner and two cats, where I spend most of my time sitting on the floor and making a mess of old porno magazines and oil pastels.
