Frames for Celebration
Design and Create decorative picture frames for pictures of loved ones alive or past to celebrate them and their lives. Inspired by the Tin Art “Hoja de Lata” of Oaxaca, Mexico and the Folk Art Traditions of the Southwest Santos Art Movement. Using materials like cardboard, Colored Paper, Markers, Watercolors and Scissors to put together interesting and unique artworks to mix with personal photographs.
(Picture is a print done by Angel Estrada that is featured in the exhibition of Nepantla. The type of frame being created for this workshop will be in a physical form and may be used for the ofrenda in the classroom or taken home for personal use.)
