First Friday Art Walk at the Museum of Art: December 6
This First Friday Art Walk, take advantage of free entry to the whole museum, including the exhibition “Nepantla” featuring 36 Mexican American artists from around Colorado exploring what it is to live in-between cultures.
There will also be an open mic poetry reading from 6-7pm, with a variety of poets responding to the visual art of the exhibition. Many of these poems will be read in Spanish, but there will also be readings in English – something for everyone!
Upstairs in our MoA for All Art Engagement Center, you will find a small exhibition of art created by Veterans from around the area in partnership with Health4Heroes and Healing Warriors Program celebrating the resilience of the human spirit. December 6 is the closing ceremony where many of the artists will be socializing and discussing the inspiration behind their pieces of art being shown. Refreshments and apple cider will be served!
We hope to see you there!
