About Instructor: Patrick Mead
I am an artist and aspiring teacher, currently working towards my masters in education and a teaching license for visual arts! I grew up in Fort Collins, but left for New York City to study photography and work within that field. A lot of my art is inspired by the disconnect between these two environments, and the practice of seeking out the comforts of a natural environment within my less hospitable urban surroundings. Through my art, and my career as an educator, I hope to share my appreciation for the beautiful world that surrounds us here, and help others find peace and solace within it. I am also part of FoCo Free Art Friday, a non profit initiative that distributes free art throughout town under the belief that everyone should be able to have art in their lives! I have taught classes on the cyanotype process already, both for student teaching, and as part of the Impressit series put on by the City of Fort Collins. I am confident in my ability to accommodate the abilities and needs of my students, and provide them with a welcoming, accessible and exciting learning environment. |
