Community Curated Art & Conversation: Sincerely Yours
Presented by Dance Express
About Dance Express
Dance Express is an inclusive dance company that works with dancers with disabilities and their families, improving lives through dance.
About the Project
Sincerely Yours addresses a question that families of people with disabilities live with every day: What happens later in life?
How do families obtain quality, consistent, supportive services such as stable living situations, housing, and end-of-life care for adult children with disabilities, once parents are no longer there as advocates?
Sincerely Yours is a multi-tiered project created to investigate and stimulate answers to this question. It includes:
- A dance theatre production highlighting the issue
- Community art projects with youth and young adults, with or without disabilities
- Displays at appropriate venues
- A short film documentary of interviews with parents, care providers, participants, and agencies advocating for a workable solution
- Pop-ups, workshops, and community meetings in communities outside of Fort Collins
