Art with Found Objects
What is art with a found object? Exactly what it sounds like! The concept of creating art with items that are found out in nature or just around a house. It is a way to use what’s already there and bring something to its full potential, or make it into something that means more to the artist.
This is a great way to recycle and use an unconventional canvas to create something truly unique!
Students in this workshop have two options: find their own item and bring it in or choose from the many objects that we will have laid out. We will provide all paint and brushes, plus there will be creative pieces laid out all around the room for you to draw inspiration from.
Pictured below are examples from the instructor, Bruce Campbell. A simple piece of rusty metal, a stone, and a piece of plywood that would have been thrown out are all now gallery worthy pieces of art.
