Summon your courage and your costume for an unforgettable evening at Art After Dark: A Classic Horror Costume Party from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025. This adults-only celebration promises eerie eats, spine-tingling spirits and hauntingly good fun lurking around every corner, all in support of the Museum of Art’s mission to explore society and connect through art.

Guests will enjoy exclusive after-hours access to the museum’s fall exhibition, a ghost tour through the building’s haunted history courtesy of Fort Collins Ghost Tours and a chance to peer into the unknown with tarot card readings. Festivities also include a spookiest cat portrait contest and a costume contest where the most chilling, clever and creative ensembles will be rewarded.

For those seeking a one-of-a-kind keepsake, a limited number of horror-themed tintype portraits (a photographic technique dating back to the 1800s) are available to reserve with your ticket purchase for an additional fee. Food and drinks are included with admission, featuring specialty cocktails and mocktails designed to raise your spirits and satisfy your cravings.

Tickets cost $75 for general admission and $60 for members. This event is for adults 21 and older. Advance purchase is highly recommended as space is limited and tintype sessions will sell out quickly.
