Roz Spencer Award
2019 – Dr. Peter D. Springberg
Please join the Museum of Art | Fort Collins in paying tribute to Dr. Peter Springberg, the 2019 Roz Spencer Award Recipient. Peter will be celebrated for his contributions to the museum and the arts on April 27th at the Masks Gala.
Each year, as part of the Masks Benefit and Gala, an individual or individuals are honored for their contributions to the success of the museum as well as for their dedication to the arts.
Generous with his time, his good counsel and his resources, Dr. Springberg is well known in the Fort Collins community for his support of many arts and human services organizations, our museum being one of those fortunate beneficiaries. In 2018, Dr. Springberg made a naming donation to the Museum of Art in honor of his late wife, Lynnette C. Jung-Springberg. Recognizing the daily needs of the museum as well as its plans for continued growth, Peter designated a fifty-fifty division of his 5-year contribution between annual operational expenses and future projects.
Peter and Lynnette moved to Fort Collins in 1999 following their retirements from distinguished careers in the United States Air Force. Peter was born in Wisconsin and received his initial medical training at the University of Wisconsin followed by studies at Duke University, UCLA and other prestigious universities.
