Masks FAQ

What Is Masks?

Masks is a signature fund-raising and community art event of the Museum of Art Fort Collins. Its primary purpose is to raise funds that will contribute substantially to the support of the museum’s exhibitions and educational programs by engaging the community in a unique, approachable art experience. For eighteen years, the Museum of Art Fort Collins, has hosted Masks, an extraordinary community art project. Over 200 artists apply their varied talents to creating works of art that comprise each fundraising exhibition. Each year has been an exciting journey as the unadorned ceramic forms leave the museum returning as an amazing collection of creative and diverse masks.

How To Apply to be a Masks Artist?

Masks artists are chosen from those that submit an application to our call for entry which is open between July 15 – August 12, 2022 on our website only (moafc.org). Please join our email list HERE if you want to receive notifications about Masks and the Call for Entry.

Museum members are given first priority for Masks and then nonmembers are given Masks on a first-come, first-serve basis dependent on the date/time of your Call for Entry submittal. If you are not a member of the museum and would like to become one, you may do so by clicking HERE. Artist memberships are only $20 for a full range of exciting benefits.

To apply to become a Masks artist you MUST FILL OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION starting July 15 – August 12, 2022; it is a quick, easy form to fill out at moafc.org. The only requirement is that you are age 18 or older.
