Tech Creations: Learn Laser cutting and Sublimation

Personalized Sublimated Cups, Custom Puzzles, and Laser-Cut Mandala Masterpieces – Unleash your artistic talents at our hands on summer camp where you will bring your ideas to life!

During this 4 day camp, students will learn the design and technical process of creating art through the precision of laser cutting and using a sublimation printer. Under the experienced instruction of Gloria Van Arsdale, they will create 3 different projects:

1.) Designing and painting a laser cut wood mandala masterpiece – wood will be pre-cut, but students will be involved in the design process and learn some of the technical skills of laser cutting

2.) Create a custom puzzle – You’ll start by selecting an image or design and use special sublimation paper and a heat press to transfer your design onto a blank board, creating a one-of-a-kind puzzle that’s both challenging and visually stunning. The puzzle pieces are already pre-cut and ready for sublimation, so you won’t need to worry about cutting them out yourself. Once your design is transferred onto the board, you’ll have a fun and customized puzzle that you can take home and enjoy with your family and friends.

3.) Custom Mug using Sublimation – In this class, you will start by designing your own unique pattern or image with markers on a blank piece of paper. You can let your imagination run wild and create something that reflects your personality, hobbies, or interests. Once you have completed your design, you will learn how to transfer it onto a special sublimation paper using a printer. You will then put your printed design onto a sublimation heat press, which will bring your design to life and make it a permanent part of your mug. After completing all the steps, you will have a beautiful, custom-designed mug that you can take home and use to enjoy your favorite beverages. The best part? Your mug is microwavable and dishwasher safe, so you can use it every day and show off your unique design to your friends and family.
