Lisa Nevot’s “Paint with the Masters” series is a fun class for all levels to learn new techniques. It is an immersive experience created through sharing stories about the artist’s life and painting an image inspired by their artistic style. The focus of the class is on the techniques used and the journey the artist took to create their art, with no pressure to complete the painting altogether. After all, we are painting in the fashion of the master’s, and as the saying goes, a true work of art can take an hour or even a lifetime!
The highlighted artist for this class is Frida Kahlo, who is an icon in the art world and faced many challenges without defeat. Find out how she ended up with that famous uni-brow and why she painted so many self portraits. Using her famous work “Congress of People’s for Peace” as inspiration, we will work with acrylic paint and learn how to blend from dark to light.
