
How to Talk with Customers

Artists, do you have a hard time selling your work? In “Wearing Many Hats: How to Talk with Customers,” marketing empress Mary Bahus-Meyer will share her secrets of selling by observing customers, asking pertinent questions, and knowing what to say about yourself and your art. You’ll practice role-playing as a gallery owner or artist selling to potential customers, each wearing a hat reflecting a different personality. It’s a fun way to learn how to be confident and competent at sales!
Students are asked to bring 1-2 small or medium pieces of their art to practice “selling” them during class.
