Drawing: How to Create a Realistic Hand

Learn how to draw a realistic hand by breaking it down into simple steps and shapes! Do you find hands complicated to draw? They don’t have to be. In this class, we will learn how to deconstruct the process of drawing a hand into basic shapes, lines, proportions, measuring, and shading techniques. The class is divided into four exercises, each introducing a new method to simplify the process. We’ll start with the fundamentals of basic shapes and lines, then build up to more detailed observation, proportions, shading, and ultimately put everything together into a final realistic hand drawing project. By the end, you’ll have the skills to draw hands realistically by mastering proportions, measuring, shading, observation, and breaking complex forms down into simple components. Gain confidence in an area many find challenging – drawing hands no longer has to be complicated!
