SUMMARY:ARTIST CALL – ChildSafe “For the Love of Beer”
DESCRIPTION:One of ChildSafe’s largest fundraisers every year is “For the Love of Beer.” It occurs on Valentine’s Day and each year, local breweries come together to provide booths for tastings for the patrons. This year, ChildSafe came to realize they needed a larger space to elevate the experience as the event expands – this means renting out the entirety of The Center for Creativity. In order to make this happen, we need artists like you to help fill the space! Your art will be displayed for the whole week of February 14 at no cost to you (reminder that artists usually have to pay to display their artwork in the space.) 200 tickets are expected to be sold to this event!\n \n\nTimeline:\n \nDeadline to submit art: Sunday, January 19, 2025\nInstallation/Hanging: Monday, February 10, 2025 from 1-4pm or Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 9am-12pm\nExhibition open to public: Wednesday, February 12 – Sunday, February 16 (12-6 every day but Friday)\nFundraiser date and time: Friday, February 14, 2025 from 6-9 (setup will start at 2 and exhibition will be closed to the public during this time.)\n\n \n\nHighlights:\n\n\nThere is no cost to the artist to display their art in the beautiful new space that is open to the public\nYou have the option to sell your art while it is on display if you wish\nYou can submit up to 6 pieces in one form (you may fill out a second form if you have more than 6 pieces)\nHanging your art yourself is a must, but I will be there to guide and help – if you have concerns about being able to be there, reach out to me! We can work something out.\nShare this with all of the artists you know! Send the form on or send them to me and I’ll answer any questions. \nChildSafe does tours on Fridays to the public if you wanted to get to know the organization a little better – let me know and I can send you the information about that!\nYou will be notified within 7 days whether or not your art is accepted!\nEach contributing artist will receive one comped ticket for the event on February 14, 6-9pm. Must RSVP to reserve once form is submitted and accepted.\nSELLING ART: This is up to you as the artist and will be handled directly by you. You will set your own price and if you would like to donate a portion of anything sold to Childsafe as a part of their fundraiser, the amount is up to you. This can be decided closer to date and does not have to be finalized on this form.\nThe theme is “LOVE AND BEER” – if you think something might not “fit the theme” submit anyways!
