DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nThursday nights, beginning September 28, 2023 –  November 16, 2023 (Classes will NOT be held on October 12 OR 26)\n\n\n\n6-8pm\n\n\n\n$25/Class for Members\n\n\n\n$35/Class for Non-Members\n\n\n\n$125 for all 6 Classes (Members)\n\n\n\n$175 for all 6 Classes (Non-Members)\n\n\n\nThis class is for ages 11+ \n\n\n\n(If under age 13, must attend with adult over 18)\n\n\n\nThis workshop will teach participants how to weave work with out the use of a standard floor loom, using basketry, macrame, sewing and other binding techniques to create projects made of Fiber and found objects. We will draw inspiration from the work of artists such as Nick Cave, Magdalena Abakanowitz, and El Anatsui. Student will be encouraged to bring found objects with them for this once a week exploration into off loom weaving techniques. We will create at least six distinct projects with the opportunity use combined skills and/or materials for additional projects if time allows.
